Poco Loco Theatre announces the open call for participation in the theatre programme of the festival ‘We’d Better (Not) Talk About It’, which takes place from 21st to 25th September 2026 in KNAP Centre in Zagreb.

The call is open for all professional theatres and theatre companies with plays for children and young people. We are looking for plays that address taboo topics in the context of theatre for children and young people, and that preferably motivate children and adults to talk about their experiences. It is important that the plays are made for children and young people (under 18 years). In other words, it should be possible to organise kindergarten groups or school visits, as well as to open ticket sales to the general public.

After each performance, a podcast is produced featuring roundtable discussions in which pupils, teachers and educational workers discuss the topic of a given play and its relevance to theatre for children and young people.

For the last edition of the festival, with examples of the round table discussions, check out the podcast on the Poco Loco Theatre YouTube channel.

Poco Loco Theatre covers travel and accommodation expenses.
