TAMASJA-ASSITEJ Indonesia announces an open call for Indonesian and international artists to participate in Wanderlust Indonesia.
Wanderlust Festival is a touring theatre initiative developed through a collaboration between ASSITEJ Mongolia, ASSITEJ Nepal, and TAMASJA-ASSITEJ Indonesia, as part of the Regional Cooperation Programme by ASSITEJ International, co-funded by the European Union. The second edition of Wanderlust Festival will take place from 23–30 August 2026 in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia, under the theme “The Listening Forest.”
Central Kalimantan is home to vast tropical rainforests, diverse ecosystems, rich cultural traditions, and communities whose lives remain deeply connected to rivers and forests. Inspired by this context, the festival invites artists to listen, connect, and grow together through encounters with nature, local communities, and future generations.
Wanderlust Indonesia is a community-driven celebration that brings together local, national, and international artists working in the field of performing arts for children and young audiences. Through artistic exchange, collaborative creation, and touring performances, the festival creates meaningful connections between artists and communities.
