The Federal Department of Family and Youth in Germany honours the work of dramatists in TYA and their outstanding plays by giving out the German Children’s Theatre Prize and the German Young People’s Theatre Prize (10.000 € each) every other year.
Authors from Germany and abroad (and their translators) whose plays are published in Germany can receive the prize. This year’s award ceremony takes place in the historic city hall of Frankfurt (Main), Germany, on November 1st 2018.
