For the second time, ASSITEJ Switzerland, in collaboration with the Blickfelder Festival, is organising a symposium for teachers and artists on the theme of ‘Participation – The Interplay between School and Art’.
How can experiences from artistic school projects be sustainably applied to everyday school life? What opportunities do different spaces offer for collaborative work? How do participatory working methods in the classroom influence projects by cultural practitioners? Based on practical examples, participants can look forward to a day of hands-on experiences exploring the possibilities of participatory initiatives in a school context.
The concept has been developed in close collaboration with the
Geheime Dramaturgische Gesellschaft. Participatory formats encourage encounters between different partners to lead to active exchange. Workshops led by experienced practitioners also provide inspiration for everyday professional life in theatres and schools. Three participatory projects, developed between school classes and theatre professionals as part of the Blickfelder Festival, bring the possibilities and opportunities of this approach to life.
