The Jury has decided to award the XXIII ASSITEJ Spain Award for Theatre for Children and Youth to the play “DE HÉROES Y MONSTRUOS” by author Xabier López Askasibar.
The jury highlights the play for its ability to portray a social issue from a multifaceted perspective, the originality and complexity of its structure, and the intelligent handling of timing. All of this connecting deeply with the sensitivity of the young audience while maintaining a sense of humor.
The jury has also considered the play “SUEÑO (1826)” as a finalist and noteworthy for its quality.
In this edition, a total of 89 works were submitted, and the jury was composed of Toni Casares, Javier de Dios, Lola Fernández de Sevilla, Nieves Rodríguez Rodríguez, and Lorenzo Soto.
