First Little Big Dance artists announced to develop pioneering new dance works in collaboration with under-fives nationally

What do you want to say to the adult world? This is the starting point for one of four pioneering dance projects being developed with nursery children as part of the first round of the major new national initiative Little Big Dance.

Created by South East Dance in partnership with DanceEast, Small size member Take Art and Yorkshire Dance, with more than £371,000 investment from Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Arts Council England, Little Big Dance sets out to pioneer a new blueprint for creating dance with under five year olds.

Stemming from the belief that very young children are an undervalued and overlooked audience for the arts in general but particularly for dance, Little Big Dance will support dance artists to develop the specialist skills and experience needed to work with this group.
