In April 2019 Theatre Epicentre is going to organise the 2nd Croatian TYA and Puppet Theatre Showcase. The Showcase is going to take place between April, 8th -12th 2019, in four or five Croatian cities, including Zagreb. The call for performances is going to be announced by the end of November. The jury formed by the professionals: Miran Hajos (president of Theatre Epicentre), Romano Bogdan (president of Assitej Croatia), Jasminka Mesaric (president of UNIMA Croatia), Iris Pavic – Tumpa and Leo Vukelic (Theatre Epicentre’s EC members), is going to choose the best of Croatian TYA and Puppet performances.
Following the successful 1st year’s edition, the Showcase is going to be organised as a tour connecting the most important Croatian theatre centres. The venues are going to be defined according to the selected performances by the mid-February. The main goal of the Showcase is to present and present Croatian TYA and Puppet theatre productions to international producers and managers. Such an approach, which implies a direct contact between international managers and Croatian theatre makers, is the most efficient way for cultural exchange and promotion of Croatian art, culture and tourism.
Theatre Epicentre has opened a call for participation at the 2nd Croatian TYA and Puppet Theatre Showcase. Interested participants are invited to send their applications containing contact informations and a short CV by December, 15th. The organiser is covering costs of transportation, accomodation and meals; the participants are in charge for covering traveling costs to and from Croatia.
Croatian TYA and Puppet Showcase offers the real Croatian experience – a full-time company of the most prominent Croatian TYA and Puppet theatre makers, a tour through well-known, but also unknown Croatian regions, and the best of TYA and Puppet theatre.
