Assitej-Uruguay, in coordination with Assitej International, will hold the Second Regional Training Workshop in the city of Paysandú, held between October 23 and 28. In order to be able to give continuity to instances of training and reflection around issues of difficult content in the performing arts aimed at young audiences.
The formation and research area of Assitej-Uruguay invites young creators from Uruguay and Latin America to participate so that they can be part of the present call, where it is proposed to approach from the word and the body in the artistic creation. In this opportunity we are dedicated in particular to the Small Size segment (or theater for babies, from 0 to 3 years old), counting on the expert in the area, the Italian Roberto Frabetti. And dramaturgy in the theater for children will also be addressed, since in the First Workshops in 2016, interested people remained who could not participate because the quotas were completed.

Practical details
The activity will run from October 23 to 28, 2018 in the city of Paysandú, 429 kilometers north of Montevideo. The workshops will be coordinated by two leaders of performing arts internationally: the dramaturg María Inés Falconi (Argentina) and the Italian specialist in Small Size, Roberto Frabetti. In this opportunity the workshops are held within the framework of the “First Encounter of Theater for Children of the Interior”, organized by the Association of Interior Theaters (Uruguay).
Registration is free and the organization will take care of accommodation and food, the interested party must pay for transportation to the city of Paysandú.
Submit your application before September 30, 2018, by sending a brief curriculum (focused on your work aimed at children and youth), no more than 600 words, and a letter of intent to ASSITEJ Uruguay.
