The Azerbaijan State Theater of Young Spectators implemented a number of projects in January. The collective of the Azerbaijan State Theater of Young Spectators attended the 36th International Festival of Fajr Theater. The festival started on January 18th in Tehran, capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The collective of the Azerbaijan State Theater of Young Spectators demonstrated the writer and dramatist Tamara Valiyeva's mono-drama Punishment in Tehran from January 21st to 23rd. The drama is about the fate of a woman who gets married at a very young age. The merited artist Kamala Huseynova performed the role of the woman in the psychological drama.
In addition to this our theater organized a theater festival called Parade of Mono-Spectacles in January. The spectators were welcomed at the theaters’ small stage from January 9th to 17th where a range of interesting mono-spectacles in terms of genres and themes were performed.
Some of the mono-spectacles have won awards and successfully represented our country at prestigious international theater festivals in several countries around the world.
Azerbaijan State Theater of Young Spectators presented Stan Lee's Spider Man and Hans Christian Andersen's Snow Queen performances for young spectators with the support of ASSITEJ – Azerbaijan National Center in January 2018. Spider Man was repeatedly demonstrated during New Year vacations and approximately 10.580 young spectators and schoolchildren saw the spectacle.
