The grandmaster of the puppet Francisco Peralta has passed away.
From ASSITEJ Spain we greatly regret the news of the death of our partner and grandmaster, Francisco Peralta. We want to offer our condolences to all your family and friends.
Francisco Peralta, born in Cádiz (Spain) in 1930, developed very important work in the world of puppetry and teaching, reaping numerous awards in his career. He was the first puppeteer to receive the Silver Medal of Bellas Artes, he received the Premio Gorgorito of Unima Madrid in 2008 and our association had the honor of presenting him in 2002 with the National ASSITEJ Spain Award. He had recently been appointed, along with his wife Matilde Del Amo, honorary partners of ASSITEJ Spain.
