In 2027, the Nodar Dumbadze Professional State Youth Theatre in Tbilisi will celebrate its 100th anniversary, and we are delighted to invite international theatre professionals to join us for this special occasion.
From April 18–24, 2027, we will welcome theatre professionals from Georgia and abroad to the Georgian Youth Theatre Showcase — a week dedicated to celebrating the history, artistic journey and current repertoire of one of Georgia’s oldest theatres for children and young audiences.
Throughout the showcase, you will have the opportunity to experience around 10 productions from the repertoire of the Nodar Dumbadze Professional State Youth Theatre, presented on the stages of several drama theatres in Tbilisi and, possibly, at other nearby venues.
The programme will include performances for children, young audiences and adults, offering an opportunity to discover the artistic diversity of our theatre and meet the artists who have shaped its work.
All performances will be subtitled in English.
Alongside the performances, we will organise opportunities to meet the theatre’s artistic team, directors, actors, designers and other theatre professionals, exchange experiences and discuss possibilities for future international cooperation.
And, of course, we would love for you to experience Tbilisi beyond the theatre — to discover the city, its culture, traditions, cuisine and warm hospitality.
