Special Edition of MATINÉ Bulletin – October 2026
ASSITEJ Cuba is pleased to invite creators, educators, researchers, mediators, cultural managers, and performing arts professionals to contribute to a special edition of our MATINÉ bulletin, dedicated to theatrical experiences for and with adolescents.
We invite you to share artistic practices, creative processes, pedagogical approaches, and reflections that have emerged from your work with adolescents in various contexts. We are interested in accounts that explore the complexities, contradictions, and potentialities of this vital stage of life, addressing themes such as diversity, inclusion, artistic quality, and intergenerational dialogue.
Submissions will be accepted on topics related to, among others, the following thematic axes:
- Artistic creation for and with adolescents: dramaturgical processes, staging, direction, and performance.
- Artistic mediation: strategies and experiences to foster the encounter between the work and the adolescent audience.
- Inclusion and accessibility: practices that embrace diversity in all its breadth, including adolescents with disabilities, from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and with diverse gender identities and sexual orientations.
- Research: systematic studies on the relationships between adolescence and the performing arts.
- Intergenerational co-creation: collaborative processes between adults and young people.
