ASSITEJ Sweden is working to influence regional and national culture politicians to secure children and youth’s right to experience professional performing arts in schools. We are now working on a report compiling facts and figures on the present situation in Sweden. Since the national cultural goals (with support in the UN convention on the right of the child) are still not being fulfilled, ASSITEJ Sweden, inspired by Norway and Denmark, are making demands on establishing new structures and continuous statistics as well as promoting professional knowledge within the field.
