One of Swedish children’s theater’s pioneers has passed away
Ing-Mari Tirén started the Dockteatern Tittut (Puppet Theatre Peekaboo) in 1977. Then Ing-Mari broke new ground by creating great performing arts for really young children. With her belief in the children’s ability to imagine and empathize, the performances were aimed at ages 2-4 years. With the child’s perspective at the center, she created urgent and innovative performances for generations of small theater visitors. Always with the ambition of being keen and innovative.
