We regret to inform that ASSITEJ Japan’s previous president, Fumie Naiki, passed away on October 2nd at the age of 94.
He devoted himself to improvement and development of theatre for children and young people, high school theatre education, and amateur theatre in Japan.
He also dedicated himself greatly to opening and success of the 14th ASSITEJ World Congress in Seoul, Korea in 2002, the first World Congress held in Asia.
He was looking forward to the 20th World Congress in 2020.
