Children’s Street Festival 2018
From old street games to dance flash mobs – let’s play in the middle of city center!
Following the last year, Children’s Street Festival 2018 organized by Jongno Children’s Theater
(Artistic Director Sookhee Kim) took place on August 25. With the theme of ‘play’, the festival
presented colorful street performances and led children to play in/with the water and Korean
traditional games for children. Around 300 elementary school students also showed exciting dance
flash mobs on the street. By blocking traffic, the festival provided an opportunity for children to play as much as they want on the street of city center, where it is usually difficult to play freely. It
improved the image of Jongno-gu, the child-friendly city and energized Daehangno, which will be
made into a child-friendly street.
