ASSITEJ Pakistan in collaboration with the Swedish Institute (Svenska institutet) hosted Niclas Malmcrona,
Cirector of ASSITEJ Sweden (Svenska ASSITEJ), to conduct interactive sessions on ‘Introduction to Arts and
Festival Management with a Focus on Theatre for Children’ with young theatre makers from various
universities and dramatic societies of educational institutes of Lahore. In these sessions he shared his
global experience of festival management and children’s theatre. He also discussed international
collaborations and opportunities for young theatre makers. Four sessions were conducted with three
days and it was a great experience for young theatre community of Lahore. It will also boost the efforts
made by Assitej Pakistan to collaborate with other Assitej centers so that in Pakistan TYA can be
promoted and especially upcoming theatre makers can feel the scope of TYA in this region of world.
In These four sessions, almost more than 300 Students from four different educational institutes were
participated. These sessions were conducted at following Educational Institutes: University of Management and Technology (UMT) Lahore
COMSATS Lahore, National College of Arts (NCA) Lahore, Dramatic Society of University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore
