Co-operation between Mashirika Performing Arts and Media Company, Rwanda and ASSITEJ Sweden
In September we launch a new project, ”Mobilisation For Women Empowerment and Rights” with the aim to address the problem of Gender Based Violence through performing arts as a medium. The project consists of two study tours, one to Rwanda and one to Sweden to investigate the possibilities to develop a strategy of working with the issue of Gender Based Violence based on the experience of our two organizations.
The project will include two planning sessions, one in Sweden and one in Rwanda, as well as a workshop in Rwanda. The result of the project should lead to a worked out long term project that will allow possible future applications for funding within the issue of Gender Based Violence and how to use performing art activities as a tool for development.
