In May 2015 ITYARN,$1 the International Theatre for Young Audiences Research Network,$1 took part in One Theatre World,$1 the annual TYA/USA festival, for the first time. Together with the Festival hosts, Manon van de Water organized and facilitated a panel of three scholar/practitioners from the Americas: Paulo Merisio, Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro – UNIRIO / Trupe de Truo?es (Brasil) Aracelia Guerrero, ASSITEJ Mexico (Mexico) Heather Fitzsimmons Frey, University of Toronto (Canada) to reflect on the theme “Dare, Dream, Do the Unexpected,” drawing from their unique research and artistic practice. The presentations were followed by a roundtable discussion between presenters, ITYARN members, and general audience.
