Award Eligibility

Nominees are selected based on the following criteria:

  • The nominee is a current PhD student specialising in any aspect of Theatre & Performing Arts for Children & Young Audiences (TYA), as demonstrated by a 1-page research project summary (the dissertation) or The nominee is within five years of finishing their PhD;
  • The nominee has to demonstrate ongoing contributions to the field of Theatre & Performing Arts for Children & Young Audiences (TYA) as shown in a 3-page CV;
  • The nominee has the support of two scholars through two letters of support; one from their advisor and one from a scholar outside the nominee’s institution.

Who Can Nominate?

ASSITEJ National Centres and Professional Networks of ASSITEJ International or members of the International Theatre for Young Audiences Research Network (ITYARN) can put forward award nominations.
