Writing Across Borders is a new international collaboration between ASSITEJ Sweden, the Kinder- und Jugendtheaterzentrum (KJTZ) in Germany and Fonds Podiumkunsten in the Netherlands.
The project brings together playwrights and dramaturgs from Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands to explore contemporary writing for young audiences across national and artistic contexts. Through international gatherings, workshops, performances and artistic exchange, participants will share practices, perspectives and approaches to creating theatre for children and young people.
Nine playwrights and dramaturgs – three from each country – will take part in meetings in Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden during 2026–2027.
The current open call is exclusively for playwrights and dramaturgs based in Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands.
