From November 2025 to April 2026, China National Theatre for Children joined hands with the Arshan Ulaan Mochir Art Troupe of Inner Mongolia to jointly create a Musical Ar Deer-The Haren Arshan, which received high acclaim at its audition in late March.
Centered on the core IP “Ar Deer” of Arshan, the musical integrates the sacred spring legends and deer culture. Through the touching tale of “the hunter and the deer”, it conveys the beautiful vision of harmony between humanity and nature, fully showcasing the distinctive regional cultural customs of China’s northern borderland.
During the cooperation, the creative team from China National Theatre for Children made special field research trips to Arshan for script creation and rehearsal. They also arranged professional training programs for local performers, improving professional skills through theatrical creation to help local art practitioners polish their professional skills and nurture the growth of native artistic forces.
The audition drew a full house. The engaging storyline and exquisite stage presentation allowed the audience to truly experience the natural and cultural charm of Arshan, leaving them longing for more theatrical showings of the production. Going forward, China National Theatre for Children and the Arshan Ulaan Mochir Art Troupe will further deepen their cooperation. Bridging exchanges through art, they will continue to share the unique cultural charm of this region with wider audiences.
