We’re thrilled to bring you exciting updates from the Young Dance Network (YDN)!
YDN is launching some new and bringing back some existing Working Groups, offering opportunities for collaboration and exploration across various themes. Here’s a snapshot of what’s coming:
- Dance in Schools: Focused on integrating dance into school curriculums. Kick-off meetings: Jan 18, Feb 22(online), and Mar 24(live in Marseille).
- Choreographic and Performing Practices in Dance for Young Audiences: A space for sharing and exploring artistic practices. First meeting: Jan 20, 2025, with additional sessions leading to in-person exchanges in Marseille through YDNs hit program “Good Morning Ideas”.
- Writing about Dance and Choreography for Young Audiences: Empowering critical and creative discourse in dance writing. Upcoming meeting: Feb 13, 2025(online).
- How to Program Dance for Children and Young People: Discussing innovative ways to program dance events. First meeting: Jan 21, 2025.
Each working group offers unique insights and collaborative possibilities—perfect for artists, programmers, educators, and enthusiasts alike.
