Invite children from all around the world to join us at Bright Generations – Générations Lumineuses!

As you know, we are actively preparing for our upcoming artistic gathering in Marseille: “Bright Generations”. While we were building our opening ceremony, it became really important to us to invite children from all around the world to join us. How? Through “danced postcards” from children of your country, which you will send us in video files.

We asked Franco-Italian choreographer Ambra Senatore to imagine an invitation to children to dance, so that all member countries can respond to the same proposal.
You can find this video invitation by clicking on the button, and below is the text Ambra has also written for you.

Invitation from choreographer Ambra Senatore:

Hello children,
Hello adults,

To celebrate its 60th anniversary, ASSITEJ wanted to bring together many children from different countries around the world through a common dance. They asked me to imagine a dance for you. I know how creative you are, so instead of giving you a ready-made dance, I would rather let you create your own by giving you just a few “ingredients.” Using these very open suggestions, you can create your dance, either on your own or in collaboration with others.

When we are cooking, with the same basic ingredients we can create many different dishes with multiple flavors. In the same way, all your dances (filmed and sent to your ASSITEJ contacts) will be different and unique, but they will also share these common “ingredients” that will connect all of you.

So, let your imagination guide yourselves!

Happy birthday ASSITEJ,
And let’s dance!

Ambra

What is the general idea?

We ask you to find a professional artist, dancer or choreographer, who would like to respond to this invitation with a group of children, to connect this artist with the group, to film their danced response (maximum 1 minute, in landscape format), and to send it back to us before January 30, 2025.
We will then take care of editing all these videos together, so that they can be broadcasted throughout the artistic gathering and during the opening ceremony.

To participate, please fill in the form by clicking on the button below and send the video to international@scenesdenfance-assitej.fr

We hope many of you will respond with children’s dances from around the world!
Now let’s dance, and see you very soon in Marseille.
