From October 18 to 27 in Guadalajara city, the 9th edition of the Festival Internacional de Teatro para los Primeros Años (International Early Years Theatre Festival), FITPA, will take place. Like every year, the festival will have shows, workshops on parenting and a space for playwrights in the creative processes for babies, boys and girls in their early years. The activities will take place in professional theatres, vulnerable communities, university campuses and orphanages in our city.
This 2024 the company Manada with its show “Lavarropas” from Santiago de Chile and the company ¡Caracoles! Danza-Teatro para bebés, from San Luis Potosí Mexico, will be the special guests of the festival programming.
As we have done in recent years, we will continue working at the Jalisco Women’s Readaptation Center, offering a mother-baby carrying and dance workshop, especially for boys and girls who live with their incarcerated mothers.
The activities are complemented by special participation and virtual talks with creators from Chile, Argentina, Italy, Spain and Mexico.
