Gulali Festival was initiated by Papermoon Puppet Theatre (a puppet theater group that has worked internationally since 2008) and Ayo Dongeng Indonesia (a community of storytellers from the whole of Indonesia).
This festival was started as an online festival in 2021 and will finally be presented online and OFFLINE to meet more audiences in October 2023!
GULALI is a traditional lollipop in Indonesia. The name GULALI FESTIVAL was chosen because we would love to share and bring audiences to experience diverse feelings, emotions or even tastes through the festival by watching wonderful performances, joining workshops, and various activities in outdoor settings!
There will be 22 groups from 4 countries: Indonesia, Japan, USA and Singapore, who will bring joy to the festival. We are so excited to be part of TYA family worldwide.
