Young Dance Network presents Dancing Kitchen

Dance for young audiences as the other forms of performing art has a common thread: the potential of imagination.

Within the framework of the 21st ASSITEJ World Congress: Voices of a New World, which will take place in Havana, Cuba, Young Dance Network wants to invite all professionals of the art aimed at children and youth to expand the potential of imagination in a Dancing Kitchen.

Dancing Kitchen is a task game that invites us to improvise a metaphorical meal together, contrasting different ideas we have about similar elements that we use in creations.

What’s your favorite food?

What’s one favorite artistic element of your work? (An improvisation tool? an scenography element? A movement you like to use?)

Would you like to bring it to cook with other artists?

These and other questions we will ask ourselves in a 3-hour collective laboratory Sunday May 26th, in which, starting from movement instructions, scenic resources and delicious metaphorical ingredients, we will cook together the dance dish of the day.

We are interested in preparing the experience as best as possible to enjoy it greatly, let us know if you will be able to join us. Write to youngdancenetwork@gmail.com
