29th International Bursa Children and Youth Theatre Festival
The 29th International Bursa Children and Youth Theatre Festival, organised by the Bursa Culture Arts and Tourism Foundation (BKSTV) with the artistic support of ASSITEJ Türkiye and on behalf of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, will take place in Bursa, Türkiye, from 15–24 May 2026.
Dedicated to expanding children’s and young people’s access to theatre, the festival brings together national and international companies, presenting diverse artistic languages and cultural perspectives. Performances, workshops, and interactive activities take place across theatres, cultural centres, and public spaces throughout the city.
Alongside performances, the festival offers opportunities for artistic exchange, hands-on workshops and dialogue, creating a vibrant platform where young audiences and artists can meet, learn and inspire one another. With its strong international focus, the festival aims to foster long-term cultural connections and meaningful engagement with young audiences.
The festival warmly invites theatre companies working for children and young people to apply and become part of this dynamic artistic gathering in Bursa.
Applications & Participation Requirements
- Application deadline: 16 March 2026
- Selected groups will perform a minimum of two and a maximum of four performances for a single performance fee determined by the Festival Committee.
- Accommodation, meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), and local transportation will be covered by the Bursa Culture, Arts and Tourism Foundation. Personal expenses inside or outside the hotel are the responsibility of the participants.
- Companies are kindly requested to consider performance fees, travel, and set transportation costs when submitting their proposal.
- For international companies requiring large-scale set pieces, the possibility of local production or sourcing may be evaluated by the festival.
- Participating groups will be selected by the Art Committee based on the submitted applications. A full recording of the performance must be included.
