Description

AGOR DRYSAU-OPENING DOORS is a biennial event which showcases work from Wales and abroad; we invite a number of international promoters and festival directors and many performances that have been seen in the festival have subsequently been invited to many other countries. It is also a meeting place for professionals and gives Welsh practitioners a chance to discuss, share practice, network and form new  professional partnerships. And of course, it’s a great opportunity for young Welsh audiences to see some of the best of world and Welsh theatre.

Details of the last festival in 2012 can still be seen on http://agordrysau-openingdoors.org.uk/

The main emphasis is on theatre; however, the festival also programmes other types of performances for young audiences – from all sorts of  genres, media  and styles of work.

In 2014 the festival will coincide with the 25th  anniversary of the host company, Cwmni Theatr Arad Goch. One of the themes for discussion during the festival will be “What changed in theatre for young audiences in the last 25 years? What do we hope for the next 25 years?”
