VIth International Festival of Contemporary Plays for Children and the Youth KON-TEKSTY The idea of the KON-TEKSTY is promoting contemporary dramaturgy for children and youth, comparing European achievements in the field of creative stage work for young audience as well as creating the common ground for exchanging experiences and opinions by playwrights, directors, scenographers, musicians, critics and viewers. Reviewing the productions of contemporary Polish drama for children and the youth created after 1980, and promoting them, confronting the Polish theatrical works with contemporary works for the young from Europe and the world, as well as establishing a forum for the exchange of ideas, experiences and opinions pertaining to the theatre for children and the youth among the playwrights, artists and the audience. The international character allows for productions based on works by foreign authors, prepared in Polish theatres by non-Polish artists. The organizers would be pleased if foreign theatres also took part in Kon-teksty” with productions based on Polish works.
