Description

Beside the establishment of its own work, HELIOS Theater wants to be a host for theatre productions from all over the world. In 2002, it organised the international theatre festival “hellwach” for the first time.
In 2018, the 8th edition of the festival is taking place: from June 3-10, 2018. Interesting theatre productions for children, young people, and adults will play in the different performance places in the towns of the Hellweg region. The companies from France, Italy, Austria, Germany, India and South Africa will present plays that invite all ages to take a new perspective on different aspects of the world we live in.
The theatre house of HELIOS Theater in Hamm forms the centre of the festival. Talks and discussions will be held there and give a wider context to the performances: about the theatre for the very young and the current questions of theatre for young audiences in India and South Africa.
