The International Theatre Festival for Children “100, 1.000, 1.000.000 Stories”, organised on a yearly basis by Ion Creangă Theatre, is a complex educational and cultural programme, whose purpose is to develop children’s interest and involvement in arts. The Festival includes a large array of events that take place in several locations in Bucharest throughout 8 days: performances, creative workshops and related activities dedicated to children. Given that the Festival addresses professionals from the field of children’s theatre and education as well, the programme will also include a series of workshops dedicated to performing arts.
For the 11th edition, the organizers intend to bring together a wide selection of performances that includes various forms of theatrical expression, and thus encourage professional performing arts companies to apply not only with dramatic performances, but also with lyrical theatre, theatre-dance, puppetry etc. The organizers reserve the right to give priority to dramatic performances.
The Festival includes the following sections:
1. Performances for children ages 1-6 / Competition
2. Performances for children ages 6-12 / Competition
3. Children’s performances / Out of Competition
4. Children’s workshops
5. Other events
