Following the success of our previous two editions, we are thrilled to announce the third edition of the Nepal International Theatre Festival (NITFest 2025). NITFest 2025 will take place from March 16 to 27, 2025, primarily at Mandala Theatre at Thapagaun in Kathmandu.

NITFest 2025 is committed to offering a rich tapestry of theatrical performances, engaging panel discussions, enlightening workshops, and much more. This edition’s theme, “Theatre for Social Transformation: Light of Indigenous Wisdom,” promises to invite theatre performances and programs to inspire thought-provoking explorations of skills, knowledge, and wisdom of Indigenous culture from all around the world.

To make the festival grand and relevant, various programs will also be held in addition to the plays. The program can be held in any space, indoor or outdoor. In previous NITFests, we had theatre workshops, cultural performances, poetry recitations, and panel discussions. This time, with the thought of making it something different and participatory, we have made an open call for this as well. NITFest will be a platform to present artistic skills, abilities, and ideas individually or as a group. Apart from drama, you can also apply as a proposal for the festival of arts, literature, culture, skills, etc.

The deadline for submitting applications for programs is June 30, 2024.
