ASSITEJ Korea is proud to present the 33rd ASSITEJ Korea International Summer Festival, Korea’s leading performing arts festival for children and young audiences, taking place this July 22–27 in Daehangno, Seoul.
The festival will be held across six days at key venues including Daehakro Arts Theater, ARKO Kkumbat Theater, and Modu Art Theater.
The theme of the 2025 festival is “Humanism, to come”, and this year’s program features a total of six performances: four outstanding international productions from the UK, Canada, Spain, and Chile, and two exceptional Korean works.
In addition to performances, the festival will offer a professional workshop program aimed at strengthening the capacity of artists and practitioners in the field of theatre for young audiences.
For young audiences and their families, the festival also includes interactive arts playgrounds and post-show programs in the theater lobbies.
Notably, after each performance, audiences will have the opportunity to participate in “Small Talks”—an open space for conversation between artists and audiences.
Continuing from last year, the festival will also feature the “Inclusive Arts Project for Children,” co-organized with the Korea Disability Arts & Culture Center, emphasizing accessibility and inclusion in the arts.
Moreover, in an effort to expand cultural access, regional performances will be presented for children in underrepresented areas, including Busan, Daegu, Gwangju (Gyeonggi Province and Metropolitan City), and Pyeongtaek.
- Date: July 22 – 27, 2025
- Location – At the Theatre: Nationwide (Busan, Daegu, Gwangju [Gyeonggi Province and Metropolitan City], and Pyeongtaek)
