ACP-EU CULTURE is thrilled to announce the release of their recent study titled “Shaping Futures, Arts, culture, and education as drivers of sustainable development”.
Commissioned by the Organization of the African, Caribbean, and Pacific States and the European Union, the research explores how blending culture and education can propel sustainable development in ACP countries and beyond.
Historically, education and culture were closely intertwined, but over time, they drifted apart. The study sheds light on this disconnect and emphasises the importance of integrating tangible and intangible heritage into education frameworks.
By focusing on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Global Citizenship Education (GCED), the research is championing holistic instruction that equips learners with the skills needed to tackle global challenges.
From environmental sustainability to future skills development, the study identifies key focal points for integrated approaches.
