1. A travelling pop-up Exhibition of the ‘Traditional Dolls of West Bengal’ and the myriad stories that surround them (Sep’ 2023 onwards approx.)
2. Maati-Katha (Earth Stories): A new object theatre performance with traditional dolls and clay telling the story of the land of their origin. ‘This production is supported by the Voices from the South programme of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, and forms part of the India showcase curated by the Pickle Factory Dance Foundation, Calcutta. Maati-Katha will premiere in August 2023 on the digital platform of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and will be available for live performances and touring from September 2023 onwards’.
3. Thing-A-Magic International Object Theatre Festival of India, Edition 2.0
The first edition of the festival was hosted digitally in 2021-22 in the middle of the pandemic, featuring 9 leading object theatre artists from 8 countries including India. The festival featured performances, workshops and talks. After the tremendous success of the first edition, we are now planning the second edition, this time as a live onsite festival featuring object theatre performances & workshops. Co-hosted by Tram Arts Trust & the CSMVS Children’s museum, the festival may be tentatively scheduled between Nov’23 – Feb’24.
