Open call for the 4th International Online Theatre Festival for Young People “Better than Us”, January 13-15 and January 21-22, 2023. The 4th edition of “Better than Us” is realized in cooperation with the Goethe Institute Moscow aiming to introduce the participants and the audience (with a special focus on the participants from the countries where Russian is one of the spoken languages) to the modern German TYA. The productions will be available in the language of the original – German with Russian subtitles.

The Active Group is 15 young people aged 15-25, who will watch shows online and then discuss them with a moderator and the theatre in focus in the format of a video conference.

The general audience – theater professionals, festival programmers, teachers and all interested audience. They will also be able to watch the festival shows, connect to video conferences, ask questions or leave comments in writing.

German theatres that would like their productions to become subject of the discussion for the young critics and to be presented to the representatives of the international theatre community can send links for full videos to: until December 1, 2022

Selection criteria are your interest and an ability to express yourself in German. Even if your German is far not perfect but you would like to participate, please, do apply! There will be translation from some languages available during the discussion. It doesn’t have to be perfect!
