🗓 Throughout the year 2021

ŻiguŻajg International Arts Festival for Children & Young People produced by Fondazzjoni Kreattività has come a long way. For a decade, the only festival in Malta that aims at engaging children and young people in an enticing programme, worked with many artists throughout the creative sector to produce fun and creative events for children and young people between the ages of 0 to 16 years of age. Throughout last year, ŻiguŻajg Festival was no different, this time with the added advantage of shifting all events online to cater for every individual who could not access this festival before. From plays, to magic shows, lullabies and a mini series, ŻiguŻajg Festival managed to celebrate its decade from its inception in a new and innovative way, championing social inclusion and accessibility in the creative industry. It also engaged creatives by producing projects and providing the necessary support during difficult times.

Notwithstanding, the fun does not end with ŻiguŻajg Festival. For the second year in a row, a season was launched last month, filled to the brim with exciting events in fun, educational and safe environments. ŻiguŻajg Season made its first steps last year with the aim to continue to provide children and their families with the opportunity to engage with professionally-made artistic events throughout the year. The aim of ŻiguŻajg is to continue to flourish year after year with this edition, developed in collaboration with the ŻiguŻajg Festival team, boasting of 13 projects by over 35 artists and 6 different creative forms; varying from literature to theatre, film to music and drag to puppetry.
