BELLUNO KIDS FESTIVAL : ADVENT CALENDAR
A virtual advent calendar. This is the Belluno Kids project and our new program for the most magical period of the year. The calendar can be visited on www.bellunokids.it
Unfortunately facing with the impossibility of realizing any kind of event that could bring families to theatres or make them attend workshops, we decided to bring many different activities directly into every family’s home.
The online and multimedial use of contents is now one of the ways that many cultural theatres companies use to engage their audience and to keep an active contact with it. That is why, as we already partially did during “Belluno Kids Festival” last August, we decided to carry on the digital option also for this new Christmas Event.
So that is how the projects works: there will be twenty-four “virtual” boxes that every day can be open from our dedicated website, in which a different content will be loaded every single day.
There will be some illustrations from “I Segni dell’Infanzia 2020”, the international illustration exhibition that has been realized in our town last August, accompanied by small stories written by the artists themselves. Other and various proposals will alternate each others until Christmas Eve: for example small stories to listen all together, Christmas decorations workshops, sweets and cookies recipies, songs to sing all together and a funny choreography to learn and dance with mom and dad.

All of this is realized under the careful artistic direction of Alessandro Rossi (by Rosso Teatro), with the fundamental support of the Municipality of Belluno/ Department of Tourism and Shows, and with the lovely support and collaboration of many italian artists, who decided to take part to this project:
Argà Belluno, Silvano Antonelli – Compagnia Teatrale Stilema, Marianna Batelli – Atelier Teatro Danza, Roberta Cadorin, Marta Farina, Lando Francini – Teatro del Vento, Consuelo Ghiretti and Francesca Grisenti – GG project, Francesca Mayer, Marco Paschetta, Alessandro Rossi, Michele Volpi – Rinoceronte Teatro, Marianna Zandegiacomo – La Cocotte, Caroline Zanette.
A contest will also be launched at the same time as the project starts: families can shoot small videos while joining the events and workshops and send them to Belluno Kids.
It will then be the Epiphany, on January 6, 2021, that will bring everyone a video-gift at the end of this Christmas project.
