In those days in Africa there was no school. Children had to learn facts of life at gatherings under the tree or around the fireplace. Then the griot, a mythical character, narrated life to the children and to the whole village with his instruments. It is through him that wisdom, knowledge and good manners were relayed.
The griot is the character THEATRE DU CHOCOLAT chose to introduce ABOLE to the kids.
In ABOLE the metaphor is used to take children through an initiatory journey, which ends with sharing. The journey ends up revealing that life is just a breath and when this breath ends, nothing is left.
We have to take life lightly and maybe everything will be light for all…
ABOLE is the story of two friends who live together. This incredible play performed by two clowns and a musician questions the different realities we are living in: Can we live together in peace when one has it and the other does not? When one wishes to dominate the other and the other dreams of taking his/her place? And if it ever happens, what will they become? It is a real entertaining and informative story performed by two clowns who sometimes make you laugh, sometimes make you think…

Theatre Du Chocolat
Created in March 1981 in Yaoundé, the chocolate theatre (Theatre du Chocolat) a famous theatre company in Cameroon, is a drama centre for theatre for the young public. Thanks to the adventures of BOBO ET MANGETOU Theatre du Chocolat has become popular in Cameroon.
