One by one two remarkable festivals will be held in Russia in April. These are 13th International Theatre Kingfestival in Veliky Novgorod (April 17-21), and the Harlequin festival/award in St. Petersburg (April 22-28).

At present Kingfestival founded in 1992 by the Novgorod theatre for children and youth “Mali” is recognized as one of the most vivid events of the theatre life in Russia’s north-western region. It has become very attractive to both Russian and foreign companies. This year the festival’s bill includes 13 drama, puppet, and music productions from Austria, Germany, Finland, France, Italy, Latvia and Russia.
